Maybe you do or maybe you don’t know but a little ole movie called The Hunger Games (based on the Suzanne Collins’s best-selling trilogy) will hit theaters tomorrow, Friday March 23rd. As hoards of fans and movie goers will see Jennifer Lawrence kick ass as teenage warrior Katniss Everdeen, we’ve thought we’ll give you a preview of some of the kick ass fashions from the movie.
Inspired by the Great Depression era and classic Americana, costume designer Judianna Makovsky had the task of re-creating the looks for the people of Panem, including the outrageous pink and Alexander McQueen getup Elizabeth Banks wears as Effie Trinket, the uniforms worn by tributes as they fight to the death, and Jennifer Lawrence’s show-stopping “girl on fire” dress.
