This past Monday, the 2011 British Fashion Awards took place at the Savory Hotel and Theatre in London with the night’s biggest honors going to Sarah Burton of McQueen and newbie designer, Victoria Beckham. Sarah Burton, dressed in head to toe black, took to the stage to accept the Designer of the Year Award 2011 praising her team’s work for a successful year. Yet, a teary eyed Victoria Beckham stole the show accepting her win for Designer Brand of the Year beating out Stella McCartney. Beckham received the award from her escort and friend Marc Jacobs who presented. Other noticeable wins of the night included Christopher Kane for the New Establishment Award and Paul Smith for the Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Award.
Major congrats to the designers who won, we couldn’t be happier/ agree more for their wins!
